This is all
paradisa but maybe that will change someday aha! and yes this format is completely stolen from <user name=alcyone>. Or rather, I mimicked it using my own coding. WHATEVER.
This is all
| Character: Allen Walker Age: 21 in Para, 16 in canon Series: D.Gray-Man Time Played: 5 years, 1 month as of today! | |
| Muse Strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ □ Allen is my oldest muse ever. The second oldest muse was Reno at 3 years and at this point Allen has far surpassed him. Sometimes I feel uneasy about his voice (too snarky? too tolerant? too smart? too dumb?) because he was a complex character even before I played him for five years. Sometimes I do canon reviews, but at this point I question if those are even the end alls- because he's 6 years older than he was in canon. What 21 year old still acts like they did at age 15? I definitely want him to stick to his core values because they make him who he is and makes him special, but I feel uneasy about having him act EXACTLY like he did at age 15/16. But that's another rant- overall I'm fairly confident with him. | |
| Cast Strength: ■ ■ ■ □ □ Right now he only has Cross in Paradisa (thus the lower rating). I would LOVE for more Exorcists, but it's not a necessity. I'm pretty happy with his CR with Cross right now. In some ways they are starting to repair the gap between them as Allen grows older and more mature. Will it ever be completely repaired or will they ever reach the typical loving father/son relationship? Hell no. But someday they will find their own steady footing and they will be okay with that. | |
| Plotting Capabilities: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ The joys of being the main character of a dramedy horror, is that the crazy amount of range I can get away with the scale of plots and still have him be easily IC. In crack situations, he can either be the straight man or the wacky one with relative ease - and his humor style ranges from dry snark to crazy slapstick. Only when he actually TRIES to be funny, does he fail- and that's kinda funny to the viewers at least. On the flip side, he can play into tragedy or drama super easily too. He's my character who neither seems out of place whether he's chilling with PG-rated ponies and muppets or putting up with adult snarkers like Crowley and House or even reacting to things that serious and dramatic. The only real limit is stuff that violates his gentlemanly ways (so talking about sex and other adult-content), but beyond that? Sky's the limit. | |
| Shipping Potential: ■ ■ □ □ □ It's a 2 because he is in a ship right now with Arthur, but outside of that? There is no potential for other shipping. Even if something happened to make the relationship he was in end, he would not want to date again and probably would not be convinced to do so for yeaaars if ever. | |
| Likelihood of Drop: □ □ □ □ □ There is no half square dang B| As I've always said, the day I drop Allen- is the day I drop out of Paradisa. And I don't see that day anywhere near the future right now unless something unexpected comes up. And even then once that unexpected thing was over, I'd just reapp him with memories. Allen was technically my third character in Paradisa, but I've had him since Day 3, meaning in the past 5 years I've been at Paradisa I've gone two days without him. He's not the character most like me by a long shot, nor do I ever want to be like him: but it'd just feel wrong to play Paradisa without him. | |
| Development/Final Thoughts: I could probably write an entire essay on how much he's developed in Paradisa, okay. I'll just focus on current stuff: I'm super super happy he's finally getting into clinic stuff. It's been something I've been flirting with since year 1 back when Isshian Kurosaki built the clinic, and then in museboxes- but it's finally blossomed five years later. It makes me so very happy since it will help with sooo many of Allen's hang ups and gives the character more to do than just fighting! I'm excited. I can't wait to get more CR with clinic staff. Also may i just say I forever love that thank goodness Allen was given Elyan the lion to help deal with his phobia so I now have the chance to have adorable Simba threads? Yes. Alcy is a prophet. Or something. |
| Character: Zelos Wilder Age: 22, I'll have to figure out his birthday eventually Series: Tales of Symphonia Time Played: 3 1/2 months I believe! | |
| Muse Strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ □ It both worries and surprises me how easy it is for me to write this character. When I first decided to try a hand at him, I was actually pretty uncertain! Zelos, while he has a few similarities to Reno or Allen, is veeery different from the normal sorts of characters i play. He does and says so many things that my other characters (and myself) would not be caught dead saying and he sees the world in a way that is super different too. Not only that, but before I picked him up, Zelos was considered a "cursed character" of Paradisa, meaning the turnover rate of people who plays him is incredibly high. So part of me thought it was laughable that I actually thought I could "break" the curse. But then I started playing him and after I got over the new character jitters, he turned out to be very very loud. The fact he's so new really proved to be his strength because I didn't feel like I was playing same old same old. Sometimes i feel a bit iffy on his characterization, but eh it's fair to say i'm plenty confident about Zelos. | |
| Cast Strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ I love all my castmates. I have a Colette, Lloyd, Yuan and Martel. I would really love having more castmates, but I'm okay with not having them either. Right now it's a good number that Zelos can fall back on them for support, but not enough where he isn't prone to branch out and gain more CR. Seriously, the cast is what got me to app him to begin with and I love them all to pieces. | |
| Plotting Capabilities: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ Like Allen, he's from a dramedy so the sky is the limit. He can handle crack situations and serious situations just fine. I will say that unlike Allen, he lacks the potential to be a good straight man- he's too zany himself. He also pisses a lot of people off, so that closes doors with CR often. On the other hand, he is more likely Allen to get into really stupid and ridiculous situations. So that balances themselves out. That and I get to use him to say all the perverted things that Allen would rather die than say- so that's always fun. | |
| Shipping Potential: ■ ■ ■ □ □ Why would you ever get into a ship with him? Why? That being said, he's fun to have around for the flirting and flings and such. But god never get him into a serious relationship. He could not handle one. He'd mess it up so bad. | |
| Likelihood of Drop: ■ □ □ □ □ I have zero plans to drop him, ever. I love him too much and I have way too much fun playing him. He's a great foil for my other characters. | |
| Development/Final Thoughts: He hasn't developed too much yet, just bits and pieces here and there. He still wants to go home, but at the same time REALLY likes Paradisa because no one knows who he is. He has yet to tell anyone that he's anything more than just some noble who can fight, and while I know people in paradisa won't give a shit- it will be interested to see what will get him to own up to who he is. For him it's been sort of like two steps forward, one step back a lot. The kid..could honestly really benefit from positive influences in his life, or as Syl said, he needs an adult in his life. Zelos is earnestly trying hard to be a good person for Lloyd and Colette, but only time will tell how well that works out I guess. I will also say that part of me will be forever sad that it is impossible for Allen and Zelos to interact, just for the fact the crazy amount of hate and envy Zelos would probably have towards Allen. Allen's pretty much the equivalent to a Chosen in his world and let's face it, at face value he's much better at it than Zelos is but isn't as unhatable as Colette (TRY HATING COLETTE, JUST TRY). I think it'd be a fun angle to play, but alas oh well. |
| Character: Zoe Alleyne Washburne Age: 33 Series: Firefly Time Played: 2 years 3 months | |
| Muse Strength: ■ ■ ■ □ □ She is the one I'm most iffy about, but I still feel pretty confident with her. Her main problem is she simply doesn't say much, and honestly she's not that deeply developed in canon since she tends to act as the straight man. But other than I think I'm doing a decent job with her voice wise? Just wish there was an IC way for her to say more. | |
| Cast Strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ □ I love my castmates, River and Kaylee are just fantastic and I hope to get more of a chance to play with them, same with Mal. I would love more castmates though! Especially a Wash! | |
| Plotting Capabilities: ■ ■ ■ □ □ Sadly unlike Zelos and Allen, she's harder to get into zany situations. Mostly because she's very content with being neutral and staying out of trouble. She's also too smart for most of the usually shenanigans. This is probably the biggest drawback of Zoe, she is hard to get realistically into stuff. However when I do get her into things, it's just pure magical (like the pirate plot! I did not expect to play her so much in that!). So I am forever on the look out for ways to get her involved. | |
| Shipping Potential: ■ □ □ □ □ Exact same problem as Allen, except even more so. Her husband isn't even in Paradisa, so I can't play with that. But she won't ever cheat or do anything like that- she loves Wash way too much and that's not the sort of person she is. So never gonna happen guys. I know, this is the saddest thing since she is hands down my hottest character. | |
| Likelihood of Drop: ■ ■ □ □ □ I really really don't want to drop her, I love playing her too much. However if push came to shove and I had to cut down, she'd probably be the first to go ;o; LETS HOPE THAT DAY NEVER COMES. | |
| Development/Final Thoughts: She hasn't developed too much other than she's really restless and antsy getting in Paradisa, too much time in one spot. I'm hoping to explore that and maybe have her more involved with world beyond stuff. She wouldn't go on expeditions, but if they ever established trade with the first gens? She's be all over that like white on rice. |
